ITV Exposure Documentary Reveals Shocking Levels of Bigotry Within Farage’s Party
A devastating undercover investigation by ITV Exposure has plunged Reform UK into its most serious crisis to date, revealing sitting councillors and parliamentary candidates making grotesque racist remarks, calling for the beheading of King Charles III, and expressing extreme violence against immigrants and ethnic minorities.
The year-long investigation, which followed Reform UK election candidates and councillors across England and Wales during the May local elections and four by-election campaigns in 2025 and 2026, has already forced three councillors to resign and prompted the party to suspend multiple members. The documentary, Undercover: A Year In Reform, is scheduled to air on ITV on 18 October.
The Revelations
Solihull Councillor Calls Asian Families “Parasites”
Alan Feeney, a Reform councillor and deputy mayor of Solihull, was secretly filmed describing the area as having been “infested” with Asian families, calling them “absolute parasites.”
Speaking about Muslims, Feeney said: “They’re in our judiciary, they’re in our schools, they’re in our healthcare, they’re everywhere, and they are not working on our side, they’re against us.”
He also claimed he believed that “no more than one percent of the British population can be non-white,” adding: “When a house comes up for sale, white people need to be in there.”
Feeney was recorded advocating for extreme measures: “You almost need to out-Muslim the Muslims. You’d need a proper nuclear option, like literally drag them at their homes, stick them on planes and f*** them off to Pakistan. Which you’ll never do in a month of Sundays… You just have to make it a country they don’t want to be in… I mean, you’re getting to a point where you ban Muslims from standing from public office.”
ITV reported that Feeney said he had “mutually agreed” to resign from Reform UK, citing “personal reasons,” and would be continuing as an Independent councillor.
Bromley Councillor Calls for King’s Beheading, Describes Black Children as “Animals”
Dean Miller, a Reform councillor for Bromley, was filmed making a series of disturbing comments during campaigning for the Makerfield by-election.
Of illegal immigrants crossing the Channel, Miller said: “I’d get nicked for saying what I would do. Do you know what I mean? I’ll take them out, bruv. I don’t care… the way I see it, you’ve got to kill, or you’re going to be killed… These fkers have come to rape and pillage, and fking kill us. There’s no doubt about it.”

He was also filmed calling for King Charles to be beheaded: “Apparently King Charles is a fking Muslim… someone from the inside saw a fking prayer mat and all that in one of his fking rooms … I think that’s fking traitorous. Cut the f**k’s head off, sorry.”
Of children in the area he was elected to represent, who he claimed had been vandalising shops, he said: “It’s just like all the ethnic fking kids, like they’re not white, they’re all fking Black and they’re like f**king animals. It’s horrible to say it, I’m not racist, but you know what I mean.”

Miller also claimed: “We’ve been ethnically cleansed out of London. Because you never used to get any blacks over in Bromley, and now Bromley [has] massive Nigerian communities there.”
ITV said Miller later told the programme he is disabled and was heavily medicated at the time, and has resigned from Reform.
Misogynistic Remarks About Female Colleagues
Chris Whelan, another Reform UK election candidate in Solihull, was recorded making disturbing sexual comments about a female Reform candidate: “If she was my daughter, it would still be bath night on a Thursday. I’ll wash you properly this time.”

Whelan announced he had resigned from Reform on 12 October “on personal and health grounds.”
Mosque Discussion Reveals More Racism
Feeney was filmed with other candidates who went on to become councillors, Jamie Campbell and Chris Whelan, discussing where a local mosque might be built. After they made extreme racist comments in the discussion, Feeney said: “Oh god, we’re all going to end up in the papers.”

Campbell said: “There’s got to be a way of stopping that, like go and buy some pork chops. We’ll bury it in the ground.” Feeney responded: “Unfortunately this is a pig cemetery mate.”
Campbell remains in his position.
Political Fallout – Labour Chair: “Truly Sickening”
Labour chair Bridget Phillipson condemned the revelations in the strongest terms: “The extreme racism and appalling behaviour exposed by this investigation is truly sickening. Nigel Farage can’t shrug these latest revelations off as being a few bad apples. Every Reform councillor, council candidate or party member found to have made such despicable comments must be thrown out of Reform UK immediately.”
She added: “Nigel Farage needs to explain why this keeps happening in his party and why he is failing to deal with blatant racism among those who stand for public office with his backing. It’s clear that Farage and his party are determined to poison our politics and threaten the shared British values Labour will always proudly defend. As every day passes, the evidence piles up yet higher as to why Nigel Farage and Reform are completely unfit for office.”
Liberal Democrats: “Chilling”
Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey described the report as “chilling,” saying: “I feel for anyone watching this tonight who is frightened to see such racism and hatred festering in their community. It’s the very worst of what we’re seeing in Trump’s America. We can’t let it become Farage’s Britain.”
Conservatives: “Farage Has Failed”
A Conservative Party spokesman said: “Nigel Farage promised to make Reform ready for government. These sorry individuals are proof he has failed.”
Anti-Racism Organisations Demand Action
Nick Lowles, chief executive of anti-racism campaigners HOPE not hate, said: “In 2024, Nigel Farage said that bigots and extremists were not welcome in Reform UK. He promised to root out supposed bad apples. Yet time and time again, we have seen him fail. This latest report from ITV reveals the extreme misogyny and racism within the rank and file of the Reform Party – including sitting councillors.”
Stand Up to Racism co-convenor Sabby Dhalu added: “From calls to shoot Muslims, to racist abuse against Black people, antisemitic slurs, and victim-blaming women for sexual assault, Reform UK is drenched in racism, Islamophobia, antisemitism and sexism. Its links to Tommy Robinson supporters and repeated alignment with the fascist movements expose exactly what it stands for. This is a dangerous party that must be kept far from power.”
Reform UK’s Response
Reform UK issued a statement accusing ITV and Hardcash Productions of “extreme methods of deception.”
“They have infiltrated our workplace including commissioning an undercover journalist to provide altered identification documents, a false address, and false credentials so that they could be given access to Reform’s headquarters, computer systems, and spy on its employees,” the party said.
The party claimed this came at a time when Farage and other members of Reform were “being targeted by individuals who wished them harm and caused a security issue which was documented during the course of the undercover investigation.”
“They have not included this in their report, despite being on notice since March this year. There is currently an ongoing police investigation relating to security breaches against Mr Farage, as is well known,” it added.
Reform said that not all individuals covertly recorded by ITV are members of Reform UK, adding: “Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions, and due process must be followed.”
The party also stated: “Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations. However good the vetting, one cannot vet a future comment, especially in circumstances where an individual is entrapped in a discussion with an undercover reporter. There is no room for racism in Reform UK.”
Farage’s Broken Promises
The revelations directly contradict repeated pledges by Nigel Farage to rid Reform UK of extremists.
In September 2024, Farage promised he would improve the party’s vetting process, saying: “We don’t want extremists, we don’t want bigots, we don’t want people who think that way, because we represent the silent, decent majority of this great country that we live in.”
The party says it carries out vetting checks on everyone who wants to stand for election. However, the ITV investigation has exposed the hollowness of these claims.

Farage has postponed a major announcement that was due to take place in Essex on Thursday morning as the party tries to contain the fallout expected to come from further revelations in the coming days. That will include revelations from undercover filming of senior Reform politicians and officials working at its UK headquarters.
Broader Pattern Of Extremism
The ITV investigation is not an isolated incident. A damning Labour dossier released earlier this year, Reform Revealed, named and shamed 45 Reform candidates for misogyny, racism and conspiracy theories.
The dossier showed candidates who have shared antisemitic content, anti-vax conspiracy theories, and anti-Muslim hatred, including one accusing a photographer of terrorism because of the colour of their skin.
Essex candidate Jeff Bray claimed that “not all Muslims are terrorists (sic), but all terrorists are Muslim” when a Ukip politician in 2010.
Alan Stay, standing for a seat on the Isle of Wight Council, posted the N-word and pictures of golliwogs on social media.
Would-be Westminster councillor James Bembridge posted on social media: “Hate is too weak a word for what I feel towards the NHS. I’d tear it down and salt the earth upon which it stood … most NHS nurses look like they’re eating food banks out of business.”
Bolton candidate Derek Bullock was expelled from the Tories in 2020 for using a racial slur to call for people of Pakistani heritage to be shot.
Communities Secretary Steve Reed said at the time: “Reform’s rogues’ gallery of wrong’uns are not fit for public office. The idea that Nigel Farage thinks these candidates pushing vile racism, misogyny and conspiracy theories are suitable is frankly staggering. It’s an insult to the public that Farage put these people forwards to stand in the first place, but it’s a dereliction of duty that he hasn’t condemned them nor pulled his support for them.”
Reform launched disciplinary proceedings over the “unacceptable” comments against some of the 45 candidates in the report, with a spokesman saying: “Labour are clearly petrified about losing their red wall heartlands, and they should be. Those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. We shall be releasing our files on Labour’s candidates over the coming days.”
Other Ongoing Investigations
The latest crisis to hit the party comes at a time when it has been stalling in the polls and faces problems including the fallout from a different undercover investigation which filmed senior officials discussing a potential way to secure foreign donations to the party.
The outcome is also awaited of a parliamentary standards commissioner investigation into whether Farage should have declared a £5m gift from the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne.
Analysis: A Party At War With Itself
The ITV investigation exposes a fundamental contradiction at the heart of Reform UK. On one hand, Nigel Farage presents himself as the leader of a respectable, patriotic party ready for government. On the other hand, the party’s rank and file, including elected councillors, are revealed to harbour views that are not just extreme, but criminal in their incitement to violence.
The party’s defence, that it cannot vet future comments and that individuals were “entrapped”, rings hollow. The remarks recorded were not idle pub talk; they were made by elected representatives and candidates for public office, often during official campaigning activities. The suggestion that a councillor calling for the King’s beheading or describing Black children as “animals” is somehow the product of entrapment rather than deeply held prejudice is an insult to the intelligence of the British public.
Reform’s claim that “not all individuals covertly recorded by ITV are members of Reform UK” is technically accurate but morally evasive. The individuals identified, Feeney, Whelan, Miller, were all elected councillors or candidates standing under the Reform banner. They were the public face of the party in their communities.
The party’s accusation that ITV used “extreme methods of deception” is a classic case of shooting the messenger. Investigative journalism has a long and proud tradition in Britain, from the Sunday Times‘s exposure of thalidomide to the Guardian‘s phone-hacking revelations. Undercover reporting is a legitimate tool when there is a strong public interest, and there can be few stronger public interests than exposing racism and extremism among those seeking public office.
The timing of the revelations is particularly damaging for Reform. The party has been positioning itself as a potential coalition partner for the Conservatives and has been making significant gains in local elections. The ITV investigation threatens to undermine its claim to be a “decent” party representing the “silent majority.”
Moreover, the revelations come amid growing concerns about the rise of far-right extremism in British politics. The recent riots targeting Muslim communities and asylum seekers, fuelled by misinformation and hate speech, have exposed the dangerous consequences of normalising racist rhetoric.
The Labour Party, Liberal Democrats and Conservatives have all condemned the remarks, but the real test will be whether Reform UK takes meaningful action to address the culture of racism and extremism within its ranks. So far, the party’s response has been defensive and evasive, focusing on attacking the journalists rather than confronting the bigotry exposed.
Nigel Farage has built his political career on presenting himself as a man of the people, standing up to the establishment. But the ITV investigation reveals that the people he has chosen to represent him, and the people he has encouraged to stand for public office, include individuals whose views are not just unacceptable but dangerous.
The question now is whether the British public will accept Farage’s claim that these are just a “handful of individuals who do not share our values”, or whether they will see the investigation as evidence of a deeper rot at the heart of Reform UK.
The Local Perspective
In Solihull, where Feeney served as deputy mayor, residents expressed shock and anger at the revelations.
Sarah Ahmed, a local business owner, said: “To hear someone in a position of authority describe people like me as ‘parasites’ and talk about dragging us out of our homes and putting us on planes, it’s terrifying. This isn’t just words; this is incitement to violence. How can someone like that be deputy mayor of my town?”
A local community worker, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals, said: “We’ve been raising concerns about rising tensions in the area for months. The far-right has been emboldened, and this kind of rhetoric from elected officials only makes it worse. People are scared.”
In Bromley, where Dean Miller served as a councillor, similar sentiments were expressed.
Tunde Okafor, a father of two, said: “When I heard what he said about Black children being ‘animals,’ I was physically sick. My kids are Black. They’re not animals, they’re children. And this man was elected to represent them. It’s disgusting.”
The Wider Implications
The ITV investigation raises profound questions about the state of British politics and the media’s role in holding power to account.
Investigative journalism is facing unprecedented challenges in the digital age, with declining revenues and increasing legal threats. The fact that ITV and Hard cash Productions were willing to invest a year in this investigation is commendable – but it also highlights how rare such in-depth reporting has become.
The revelations also raise questions about the vetting procedures of political parties. Reform UK claims to vet all candidates, yet individuals with extreme views continue to slip through the net. Is this incompetence, or is it a deliberate strategy to attract voters who share those views while maintaining plausible deniability at the leadership level?
The response of the other parties will also be scrutinised. Will they use these revelations to score political points, or will they take meaningful action to address the broader issues of racism and extremism in British politics?
Conclusion
The ITV Exposure investigation revealed a party that, despite its denials, contains individuals with views that are not only offensive but also dangerous, promoting hatred and expressing racial animosity towards minorities. The remarks recorded, calls for the beheading of the King, descriptions of Black children as “animals,” advocacy of ethnic cleansing – are not the product of entrapment. They are the product of a culture that has allowed racism and extremism to fester.
Nigel Farage has spent years promising to rid Reform UK of “extremists” and “bigots.” The ITV investigation shows that he has failed. The question now is whether he will take meaningful action – or continue to blame the messengers.
For the communities targeted by these remarks, the stakes could not be higher. As one local resident put it: “This isn’t about politics. This is about our safety. This is about whether we can walk down the street without fear.”
The British public will have the final say. But whatever the outcome, the ITV investigation has already done a vital service: it has exposed the ugly truth behind Reform UK’s respectable facade.
Undercover: A Year in Reform airs on 18 October at 10.20 pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV & STV Player.
