Marriage in Islam
Marriage (nikah) is not just a contract—it is a partnership built on mercy, compassion, and mutual respect.

Rights of the Husband in Islam

The wife should honour and speak respectfully to her husband, just as he must do toward her.

Supporting her husband in:
- Parenting
- Managing the home
- Building a peaceful environment is considered an act of worship.
3. Honouring the Marriage Bond
The wife is encouraged to maintain trust, loyalty, and care within the marriage.
4. Emotional Support
A supportive, appreciative attitude strengthens the marriage and builds love.
Parenting in Islam
Children are a trust (amanah) from Allah. Parents are responsible for raising them with love, clarity, and good values.
1. Teach the Qur’an
Begin with simple surahs and basic principles. Even simple surahs can build a lifelong bond with faith.
2. Instil Good Manners
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Nothing is heavier on the scale than good character.”

3. Protect Children from Harm

- Physical safety
- Emotional safety
- Digital safety

No family is perfect. Islam teaches practical ways to handle disagreements with grace and maturity.
1. Calm Communication
Speak gently and listen without interrupting. The Prophet ﷺ never raised his voice in anger.
2. Mediation
When conflicts become difficult, Islam encourages:
- Counsellors
- Trusted family members
- Seeking help from community scholars (if needed)
Qur’an encourages reconciliation through arbitration.

3. Fairness & Justice
Both spouses must avoid:
- Blame
- Harsh words
- Reopening old arguments
- False accusations
Fairness means looking at the problem—not attacking the person.
4. Apology & Forgiveness
Forgiveness keeps the heart pure and protects the marriage from resentment.
Building a Peaceful Muslim Home
A blessed home is one where:
- Qur’an is recited
- Salah is observed
- Children feel loved and secure
- Spouses support each other
- Conflicts are handled with wisdom
